Firstly we want to start off by saying THANK YOU and express our gratitude for the players who turned up to play Poker. One thing that became evidently clear as to why the tournament didn’t actually start is the explanation post we’re making right now and on X we can only do a few characters.
The FREE tournament has different characteristics than a PAID seat one and that was proven last night. We (WildPoker) run tournaments every night, they run absolutely no problems as users turn up, are invested and active. They want to play poker. They have respect for their seat as they paid for it. Yes only $10 but that isn’t the point.
Last night numbers were amazing and we are so proud of our platform. However users didn’t show up or weren’t engaged in straight forward clauses for play, (click a BIG green button that says ‘I’m ready’), LOL
We have always kept user experience as paramount, its why the clause is there. I guess some of the user reaction they were there with the expectation its sit an go poker where they can bounce around the table and it doesn’t matter. Real Texas Hold’em Poker especially in tournaments isn’t like that. Also its NOT a great experience at the table with AFK players every turn having to wait 60 seconds to wait for the player to auto fold gets tiring.
Which is why the clause was in place that 50% of the players in the lobby CLICK the IM READY so it translates to engaged players on the table.
Anyways the NEW tournament is posted, we’re now working on the player vote option to get the tournament started so last night won’t happen. This will all happen automatically to ensure the user experience from start to finish is straight forward.
